Supermarket Management is a simulation game developed by Playful Age.
The character that you will control in this game, is a girl who has just finished college and now she realizes that she really needs to get a job. In a comic-like story you will learn that meeting a supermarket supervisor in a traffic jam results in a job offer. You will also learn that your new job is as a supermarket manager, so you will have to help customers to find what they need, allocate all the products in the right places and so on. You will have to do a lot of different tasks such as checking customer orders and many other similar actions. Besides, you will have to suggest new ideas in order to improve the profit of the business.
As you go through each level, the clock will always be ticking against you and your boss will tell you what you have to do in order to become an expert. Then, if the things went well your boss will open new stores and you will have to start over again until the store earns more profits that you can use to hire employees and add upgrades. After a few stores, you will run into the union leader who requires that employees take a break.
The graphics of the game are great and the scenarios are well done, the sound effects are suitable and the soundtrack is nice, but not impressive.
In conclusion, for those who would like to become an expert supermarket manager from the very beginning (I'm not definitely one of those) this is the right game and for the rest of us is a nice game to spend a couple of free hours.
